ESA has been giving out financial aid since its Entrepreneurship program began in 2002.

 

 

Current students can also apply for scholarships and become eligible to do so if they meet the criteria for two consecutive terms.

 

Total scholarship slots are limited.

 

The last day of submission for applications has been moved to February 9, 2008.

 

 

 

VENTURE FUNDS

 

Startup capital of as much as P500,00 can be accessed by qualified students through the Startup VC! Venture Funds program.

To further encourage and support development of entrepreneurship, the Entrepreneurs School of Asia through its "Startup VC! Venture Funds" program and affiliate institutions will be able to provide access to venture capital of as much as Php500,000 to an outstanding and deserving student.

 

 

Candidates must be able to identify an excellent business opportunity based on original environmental scanning research and present a comprehensive business plan for a startup to demonstrate the viability and significant potential of the venture.

 

 

The candidate must also embody ESA's motto of Entrepreneurs for Society, which must be incorporated into the business model. The proposed venture should also be able to make a positive impact on communities and without posing any threat to the environment.

 

This opportunity applies to those entering the BS Entrepreneurship program from June 2008 and who would therefore be setting up their venture in 2010. 

 

 

* Certain minimum criteria – as set by the Startup VC! committee – of the BS Entrepreneurship program must be met.

February 23, 2006 - The Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (“Go Negosyo”) and the Entrepreneurs School of Asia launched the Gen-E Presidential Scholarship for Entrepreneurship. The Gen-E Presidential Scholarship is part of both institutions’ efforts to promote and develop entrepreneurship in the country.

 

Those interested in applying for the scholarship will have to: 

1.   Complete the Application for Admission form of E.S.A. (available from the Admissions Office and Admissions page of this website)

2.  Submit two (2) additional essays to support their scholarship application.

·Essay 1: What does it mean to be a socially responsible entrepreneur?

·Essay 2: Why should I be awarded a Gen-E Scholarship?

·Essays should be word processed (A4 paper, double-space, Times New Roman 12 font)

·Each essay should be 3-4 pages in length, and stapled together

·Place a cover page with: “Gen-E Scholarship Application Essays” and the applicant’s name

3.  Submit all documents in a sealed manila envelope by Feb. 9, 2008 (Attn: Gen-E Scholarship Committee)
