Rounded Rectangle: About Teenpreneur Challenge

à The Teenpreneur Challenge is a high school student entrepreneurship competition that seeks to inculcate in our students the values and mindset of entrepreneurship through training workshops and activities and interaction with the country’s top entrepreneurs.
à To date, twenty-four (24) private high schools from Metro Manila will participate in a challenge and incentive, to both create sustainable livelihoods for twenty-four (24) Products Owners.
à The event is organized by ESA's Institute and in cooperation with the GoNegosyo movement for the benefit of the Malabon, Boni- Mandaluyong City and Gawad Kalinga and Virlanie Foundation.
à The program seeks to help develop the livelihood projects of the targeted sites, by improving their existing products and making them more marketable.  It also aims to bring entrepreneurship to the high school level.  The role of the students is to supply selected GK sites with energy, innovation, ideas, and creativity.

à The Foundation is an undertaking of the Entrepreneurs School of Asia and is committed to promoting entrepreneurship for poverty alleviation, both locally and overseas, including but limited to training, information sharing, and capacity building, fundraising, sponsorships and financial assistance, either by itself or in collaboration with other individuals, organizations, corporations and government.

Rounded Rectangle: Entrepreneurs School of Asia

à The Entrepreneurs School of Asia (ESA) is the first college in Asia focused entirely on entrepreneurship education, research, and development in the region.  Established in 1999 by a group of social entrepreneurs led by Ms. Vivienne Tan and Mr. Joel Santos, the school has evolved to be a synergy of the best of Eastern and Western business education. It has pioneered in the integration of entrepreneurship education within all its academic programs thus giving the institution a reputation of innovation and dynamism.

à Guided by the principles of social entrepreneurship the ESA advocates that business is one of the most effective ways to fight poverty and bring about social change. The institution seeks to establish the novus ordus - a “new order” of businessmen and women who will use their business skills, talents and resources to work towards a just and equitable society. This thrust is reflected in ESA’s motto of “Entrepreneurs for Society.”

à The Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (PCE) is a non-government organization that is at the forefront of an advocacy to create among the Filipinos a mindset of optimism and a culture of entrepreneurship. In pushing for its more commonly known battle cry "GO NEGOSYO", the PCE has brought together successful entrepreneurs from different business sectors in the country to help empower people from all walks of life by inspiring them to pursue a business, giving them enterprising ideas and mentoring them as they sustain and expand their businesses.

à The entrepreneurs who volunteered to mentor the high school teams are part of the network of supporters of the Entrepreneurs School of Asia and the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship.  The majority of the volunteers, however, come from AFFI or the Association of Filipino Franchisers Inc.

à AFFI is a non-stock, non-profit national organization formed in 1997 by a group of pioneering entrepreneurs and businessmen who recognized the potential for business expansion through franchising. AFFI members have joined the GoNegosyo movement as part of their advocacy to promote entrepreneurship development in the country. Website: www.filfranchisers.com
